Developing the quality of services is top priority, a government minister said .

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas added that his ministry will co-ordinate with international organisations concerned with aircraft manufacture to consider the quality aspect to serve the Egyptian air transport sector.

The minister made these remarks during his meeting with Chief Executive Officer at Star Alliance Jeffrey Goh on Wednesday.

The ministry spares no effort to attract more passengers and boost incoming tourism at Egyptian airports, the minister said.

The meeting dealt with the role of EgyptAir as an effective Star Alliance member and its representative in the Middle East and North Africa.

The officials also discussed the role of Cairo International Airport regarding plans to improve services at Egypt’s other airports.

Meanwhile, Goh asserted the importance of the role of EgyptAir in the Star Alliance via supporting and developing the services offered to the passengers to have an easy and comfortable travel experience.

The Star Alliance created a new milestone for the airline industry with its founding on 14 May, 1997. As the first global airline alliance, linking five major airlines into a single network, it offered a completely new type of service to the international travellers.

The Alliance has expanded to include 26 member airlines, which together offer a comprehensive network spanning 195 countries worldwide.
