Egypt’s Civil Aviation Ministry is keen on advancing the early warning system, and monitoring climate risks through the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), affirmed Minister Mohamed Abbas.
The EMA’s role is crucial in coordinating with all the State’s sectors with regard to the climate-related issues, added Abbas during a panel discussion on the impact of dust on climate change, as part of the proceedings of the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference, COP27.
The panel tackled the role of climate change in increasing the frequency and severity of sandstorms.
