SHARM EL SHEIKH – Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli discussed with Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna Ghada Waly a number of files of common interest.
During the meeting, Wali cast a spotlight on ongoing cooperation between Egypt and UNODC, saying that she follows up on the resolutions of the ninth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh in December 2021.
Wali, meanwhile, commended the outstanding organization of the UN Climate Change Conference (UNCCC) COP27.
She also lauded the prime minister’s decision to establish the first assembled unit protecting women against violence, which aims to investigate reports related to violence against women.
