CAIRO – The Decent Life (Haya Karima) Foundation signed a cooperation protocol with Abou Hashima El-Kheir Foundation to offer cash support to about 14,000 households that are considered as the most needy in the Governorate of Beni Suef.
This protocol, not the first-of-its-kind between the two entities, has been signed in pursuance of President Abdel Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to increase social protection packages, Aya Omar, head of Haya Karima Foundation’s board of trustees, said in a statement on Saturday.
She noted that the cash transfers will be handled by Egypt Post.
Meanwhile, MP Ahmed Abou Hashima thanked President Sisi for his support for the families living in most vulnerable areas.
The “Haya Karima” initiative was introduced by a group of young volunteers during the seventh National Youth Conference in 2019 – a platform that promotes communication between the state and youth. On October 22, 2019, the Haya Karima Foundation was officially founded, providing a classic example of volunteerism.
The Foundation’s vision aimed at providing socioeconomic services alongside healthcare services in order to invest in and ameliorate the status of Egyptians through the promotion of partnership between the public and private sectors and the civil society.
