President Abdel Fattah El Sisi made a tour on Friday of the Integrated Car City, one of a series of national development projects implemented by the government.

Constructed over 59 acres, the new city is located on the road that connects Cairo with Ain Sukhna.
It has room for around 4,000 vehicles at a time. The city is also provided with a comprehensive information system.
Apart from this system, the new city also has a series of parking lots, and an internal road network.

The Car City is gated and has a fence constructed around it. It enjoys high-level services, including car testing and maintenance centres, outlets for the sale of car spare parts, commercial shops, administrative buildings, banks, registry offices, civil defence facilities, an ambulance centre and a traffic department.
During his tour of the city, President Sisi gave commands to executives overseeing the implementation of the project to pay special attention to the quality of the public utilities in the city.
These utilities, the president said, have to accommodate the people expected to frequent the city when it starts operating.
The president also underlined the importance of providing the new city with modern security systems through surveillance cameras and electronic gates.
These systems, he said, are necessary for controlling entry into and exit from the city.
