President Abdel Fattah El Sisi underscored the importance of upholding the principle of the national state to achieve the interests of the peoples and supporting the state institutions against any other thought that aims to sow discord, division and strife among the people of one country.
He also emphasised that it should be born in mind that the forces of terrorism, extremism and militias cannot lead countries because they are irresponsible and unaware of state’s requirements; hence the importance of the media to raise the people’s awareness in this respect.
President Sisi remarks came during his meeting with Arab Ministers of Information and media officials on the sidelines of the 51st Arab Information Ministers Council meeting, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
President Sisi assured the attendees that the main goal of Egypt’s foreign endeavours is to maintain the region’s security and stability and safeguard Arab solidarity. He also expressed his appreciation for the support the Arab brothers shown for Egypt in Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam row.
The participants expressed appreciation for the tangible achievements Egypt has made under the leadership of President Sisi at all levels, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
