The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf has launched an initiative to double quantities of meat distributed monthly for needy families to 200 tonnes.
The ministry said in a statement on Thursday that this amount of meat will be distributed for three months as a first phase.
Such procedures are taken under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to enhance social protection, the note added.
