AMMAN – Assistant Secretary General and Head of Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League Haifa Abu Ghazaleh hailed Egypt’s rich and unique experiment in combating poverty and achieving social protection nationwide.
Abu Ghazaleh told MENA Friday on the sidelines of the 77th session of the Executive Office of the Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council, that wrapped up proceedings in the Jordanian capital Amman Thursday that Egypt is among Arab countries which has very rich and unique experiments that are capable of combating poverty and violence against women and other social problems.
She said the Egyptian State plays an important role in implementing a successful strategy for attaining social protection to citizens through several programs and initiatives.
Such experiments will be presented at meetings of the Arab Social Affairs Sector, according to her.
Abu Ghazaleh commended the role of Egypt through the participation of Social Solidarity Minister Nivine Kabbag in the Arab ministerial meeting in Amman, where she talked about Egyptian experiments and social initiatives.
