Egyptian Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar chaired on Wednesday the first meeting of the council of blood monitoring operations to discuss frameworks for regulating work mechanisms in line with the law issued in 2021 regarding regulating blood operations and collecting plasma for manufacturing.
The meeting tackled forming a committee to activate the first e-linkage project connecting blood operations to the various relevant bodies, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
The meeting also discussed the national standards for blood transfusion, said the spokesman, adding that the minister issued directives to form a committee to implement such criteria.
The spokesman further said that the meeting tackled mechanisms to provide blood transfusion services to the private and public sector.
