RAMALLAH- The Israeli army detained 23 Palestinians in overnight raids across the occupied West Bank (WB), including three siblings, WAFA news agency said Monday quoting Palestinian sources.

They said that during an army raid of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the soldiers detained three siblings from the Kastoni family, one of them injured in clashes with the army during the raid, along with another person, a former prisoner.

Three other people were injured during the army raid, one of them a young woman injured by shrapnel in the head. Her wounds were said to be light.

Soldiers also detained two relatives from the town of Yabad, near Jenin, at a flying army checkpoint near Nablus.

Also in Nablus in the north of the West Bank, soldiers detained journalist Mohammad Abu Lafah, 30, at his home. Another person was detained from the village of Jamaeen, near Nablus.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society said that with the arrest of Abu Lafah, Israel currently has 17 Palestinian journalists in detention, including Lama Ghousheh from East Jerusalem who was detained at her Sheikh Jarrah home on Wednesday and is facing charges of interviewing released freedom fighters. Ghousheh is expected to appear in court this morning, for the third time since her detention.

In Ramallah, soldiers detained one person from Jalazon refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and another from Amari refugee camp. Two others were detained during raids at their homes in Qalandia refugee camp, south of Ramallah.

In Hebron in the south of the West Bank, soldiers detained five Palestinians.
