The development works at El Sawaqi area (Water wheels area) in Fayyoum governorate meet the requirements of rapid urbanisation of the city, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The move aims to attain the optimal use of such location through establishing projects, which achieve economic returns and secure jobs for youth, he added while inspecting development works at El Sawaqi area in Fayyoum governroate on Tuesday.
Fayyoum Governor Ahmed el Ansari, meanwhile, said that this project is implemented in conjunction with the development of service sties in the city and within the framework of the presidential initiative to develop Egypt’s governorates.
Madbouli toured the area, during which he listened to an explanation from General Manager of the National Contracting Company, affiliated with the National Service Projects Organisation (NSPO), about the stages of implementation of the development project.
The development works include an area of bazaars for traditional and handicrafts, a group of restaurants and cafes, a memorial of the martyrs, and an open Roman theater.
