Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and urban Communities Assem el-Gazar and Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi discussed ways of boosting bilateral co-operation to promote real-estate investment opportunities for Egyptians abroad in Egypt.
During a meeting on Wednesday, the minister of housing said his ministry is keen on offering all facilities and easing measures for Egyptian expatriates wishing to access the Egyptian real-estate market.
Also enhancing co-operation between the two ministries regarding raising societal development awareness and increase societal contribution to the developmental process figured high during the meeting.
The ministry has embarked upon this drive since 2012, he said, referring to the Initiatives for Local Development in Egypt with the Support of Egyptians Abroad project, with a view to linking Egyptian expats to their motherland.
For her part, the minister of emigration underlined the priority given to lure Egyptian expatriates wishing to invest in their country, referring to a proposal floated on offering a package of incentives for this aim.
