Awqaf minister reiterates support of religious institutions in Venezuela, Ecuador

CAIRO – Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa reiterated on Sunday the ministry’s readiness to support religious institutions in Venezuela and Ecuador as regards training imams and preachers.

The minister made the remarks during a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassadors to Venezuela and Ecuador Karim Amin and Tamer Mamdouh, respectively.

The minister updated the two diplomats on the ministry’s efforts to promote moderate religious teachings and correct misconceptions about Islam.

He gifted the two diplomats the first and second collection of Ro’ya (vision) series that was translated into English, Spanish and French languages as well as the ministry’s publications in the religious discourse renewal field.
