The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation has started a plan to rationalise the use of energy by implementing a package of intensive measures in conjunction with the state’s plan to save energy.
Engineer Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, stated that this comes as part of implementing the Egyptian state’s plan to rationalise the use of energy in all bodies, holding companies, affiliated companies and facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Civil Aviation by taking all measures that would reduce the consumption of electrical energy and water.
The head of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation said that the rationalisation plan includes the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and its subsidiaries by adopting a policy of purchasing saving devices, replacing and replacing the current lighting system with LED lighting and maintaining air-conditioning devices to ensure the efficiency of work in all affiliated companies.
He added that the lighting pattern at Cairo International Airport has been changed, the use of devices has been reduced, the lighting has been separated during non-operating times, and the lighting systems have been replaced by the LED system in the Sharm El-Sheikh airport fence along 14km.
The Sidi Barani Navigational Aid Station has also been implemented to fully operate using solar energy, replacing, renovating and raising the efficiency of all navigation stations and equipment of the electrical feeding system for higher efficiency, more reliable and energy-saving systems.It
