Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted on Wednesday that the Egyptian state is currently implementing an inclusive plan to develop Egyptian ports.
This comes after directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the premier added while inspecting the establishment of a number of projects in Port of El Dekheila.
The premier was accompanied by Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Transportation Minister Kamel el Wazir, Alexandria Governor Mohamed el Sherif and a number of senior officials.
The development projects in the port aim at allowing Egypt to be a global hub for trade and logistics through benefiting from its strategic position on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
Also, Wazir said that development projects at the Egyptian ports are carried out by Egyptian national companies as well as Egyptian and international advisors, noting that the cost of the development of the Egyptian ports in the period 2014-2024 reached LE129 billion.
