A light plane crashed after taking off from Al Thumamah Airport in Riyadh, leaving the pilot – the only passenger in the plane – dead, the Saudi Aviation Investigation Bureau said.
A team has been dispatched to the site of the crash to start a probe into the cause of the crash, Saudi Arabia’s Al Ekhbariya news channel quoted the bureau as saying.
Al Thumamah Airport is located about 28.9km north of King Khalid International Airport.
