The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority organised a training course for “aviation security” inspectors, in coordination with the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority, with the participation of a number of heads of inspection sectors in the Egyptian and Sudanese civil aviation authorities.
Ashraf Noir, head of the Civil Aviation Authority, said that the course comes within the framework of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s strategy to enhance co-operation in various fields of air transport between Egypt and brothers in various Arab and African countries, especially in the field of aviation security, with the aim of exchanging experiences and raising the efficiency and capabilities of civil aviation workers.
The President of the Civil Aviation Authority praised the bilateral co-operation between Egypt and Sudan in the field of air transport, as it is of great importance in security and safety of civil aviation, within the framework of commitment to international standards and practices.
The training course aims to provide managers and inspectors with the latest measures of aviation security and monitoring activities to enhance air safety, the application of aviation security quality control elements, how to comply with international rules and recommendations, inspection methodology, the powers of the aviation security inspector, how to prepare the preliminary and final report and field inspection visits at airports.
A number of international aviation security trainers at the Civil Aviation Authority who are accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) are teaching in this course.
They are Engineer Yasser Mohamed Abdel Halim, Director General of Aviation Security at the Civil Aviation Authority, and Ahmed Kamal Sobeih, the international trainer and aviation security inspector at the Aviation Authority, who holds a Coach of the Year award in 2021, Izzat Muhammad Al-Nadi, director of airline security at the Aviation Authority, and Muhammad Rushdi, director of the Passenger Security Department at the Aviation Authority.
