Believing in the unique power of storytelling which is crucial part of early childhood education and beyond, Child Author Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat has embarked on a series of storytelling workshops for children.

At the Asmarat Culture Palace, an interactive storytelling workshop took place where Ezzat spoke about the new Suez Canal and the city of Suez through the presentation of the story “A Canal that does not know the impossible”. This story highlights the flotation of the Panamanian container ship “Ever Given” in Suez Canal.

The workshop aims at enabling children to solve the problems they are going through and reveal their hidden energies through spontaneous face-to-face dialogue . “ I was impressed by the children’s interaction and eagerness to hear more and more,” the author told The Egyptian Mail.

This kind of literature, she went on, can modify children’s behaviour, discuss the problems facing them and protect them from any misconceptions.

The author also explained that it is necessary for children to learn about the achievements and developments taking place in society and the efforts made by the state so that our lives become better .

The inspiring Ezzat is also the presenter of “Mama Samah Stories” TV Show that is etched into children’s memories with the myriad of stories presented in it. More amazingly, Ezzat more than 40 publications for children with many publishing houses in Egypt and abroad. Her writings have been receiving widespread admiration as she received many awards including The Golden Award in the field of screenwriting from the Arab Creativity Festival for the TV series “Aladdin and the treasure of Grandfather Amin’’.

Earlier this year, Ezzat also met the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the presence of Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem. The genuine zeal for children literature has enabled Ezzat to leave a mark in this domain, turning her books and stories into windows that offer children views of worlds surrounding them.

“ There will be more storytelling workshops in the upcoming period in different governorates,” she noted.
