CAIRO – Egypt has strongly condemned a terrorist bombing that occurred in Salahuddin province and resulted in the killing of several members of Iraqi police forces, a press release by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
“Egypt extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy for the government and people of Iraq as well as the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery,” said the ministry.
Egypt supports the measures taken by Iraq to safeguard its security and stability, the ministry added.
Two Iraqi Federal Police officers were killed and four others injured in clashes with Daesh elements in Salahuddin province, an Iraqi security source said on Wednesday.
