President Abdel Fattah El Sisi today received a phone call from US President Joe Biden, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
The two leaders exchanged views on ways to stop violence and escalation in the Palestinian territories in the light of the recent developments there.
President Sisi reiterated the importance of joining all efforts to contain the dangerous escalation in the Palestinian territories, stressing in this regard Egypt’s firm stance regarding the importance of reaching a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, Ambassador Radi said in the statement.
For his part, President Biden expressed his deep appreciation for the tireless efforts President Sisi exerts with all the parties to the conflict, Ambassador Radi added.
The two leaderes agreed to continue regular consultations and exchange of views, as well as to enhance fruitful mutual coordination between the relevant agencies of the two countries during the coming period to contain the escalation of the situation.
