MOGADISHU – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Egypt would continue supporting Somalia’s efforts in the coming period to promote peace and security in the country, achieve sustainable development and counter terrorism.
Madbouli’s comments came during a speech that he delivered Thursday during his participation on behalf of Egyptian President Abdel El Sisi in the inauguration of the tenth Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud.
The Egyptian premier conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s greetings to the Somali leader on his election.
Madbouli asserted that Egypt looks forward to boosting co-operation with Somalia in various areas, with a view to bringing about the aspirations and interests of Egyptian and Somali peoples.
