The measure is part of the genuine development, technological revolution and digital transformation on all fronts in the new republic, he said.

The launch of the satellite is a new phase to tap new vistas in using satellite technologies in the various domains, he further mentioned.

He pointed out that Nilesat 301 satellite is a scientific achievement for audio-visual IT communications.

Zein added the new satellite has an advanced technology offering several services, topped by broadband internet connections covering all governorates in the country, remote areas, main structure projects and new urban communities.

He said Nilesat 301 satellite will as well cover countries in southern Africa with high quality internet connections.

Zein voiced his delight with taking part in this historic event.

Egypt successfully launched new satellite, Nilesat 301, by the Space X Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday at 11:03 pm Cairo Local Time.
