The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports on Thursday organised a visit to the Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum on day two of the 3rd Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement are being represented by 150 young leaders at the event in Cairo from May 31 until June 17 under the slogan of ‘Non-Aligned Youth and South-South Co-operation’.

A session was held for the participants on the sidelines of the museum visit in Manshiyat el-Bakri area in east Cairo.

The museum presents a narrative of events during a difficult period in the history of Egypt and the Arab nation.

At the end of the visit, the participants took a set of memorial photos and expressed their respect and appreciation of Egypt and the Egyptians for their history and the role of their leaders, including Nasser, who was not only an Egyptian and Arab leader and pioneer, but also one of the most outstanding leaders in the history of mankind during the 20th century.

Hassan Ghazaly, General Coordinator of the 3rd Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership said the fellowship gives equal opportunity for both genders, as indicated by the fifth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, as well as empowers youth and gives the opportunity for actors from different countries to meet and activate partnerships in various domains.
