CAIRO – The Egyptian Cabinet’s media center denied Saturday reports on imposing fees on students of governmental universities to allow them to take the second term exams for academic year 2021-2022.

Contacting the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry, it refuted such reports as “baseless,” the center said.

All students enrolled in the governmental universities have the right to sit for their exams without paying any exam admission fees, the ministry stressed. Students are only required to pay the usual tuition fees and nothing else, it made it clear.

The center urged news outlets and users of the social media websites to seek accuracy before reporting fake news.
