CAIRO – Egyptian Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi was elected unopposed president of the executive office of the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council on Thursday.
Election for the executive council took place at the end of the 45th session of the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council at the headquarters of the Arab League and in the presence of Arab youth and sports ministers.
The youth and sports ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunisia, the UAE, Algeria, Libya, Jordan and Palestine were also elected as members of the executive office.
Also, Jordan was elected head of the council’s youth committee while Iraq won the chairmanship of the sports committee.
