CAIRO – Assistant minister of agriculture and land reclamation Mohamed El Kersh has stressed the importance of “Egypt Future” project inaugurated Saturday by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In statements to MENA Sunday, Kersh said the project would support the state approach towards achieving self-sufficiency of crops and help confront economic challenges resulting from regional and international variables.
According to Kersh, the state attaches great importance to the farming sector due to its economic, societal and environmental role in providing food security to the Egyptians.
He added that projects such as Toshka, South of the Valley, Sinai and others are considered a good model for more major agricultural ventures in the country.
