Dakar – Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maeet said Tuesday that Egypt will call for holding a coordination meeting of African ministers of finance and environment ahead of the COP27 summit in Sharm El Sheikh late this year.
The meeting is planned to be held on September 8-9 to reach a unified African stance meeting the needs of the continent in the field of environment, climate change and plans of transforming to clean and green energy resources, said the minister during a conference of African ministers of finance in Dakar, Senegal.
He reviewed state preparations to host the next climate summit, stressing keenness of the Egyptian Finance Ministry to organize the meeting to probe demands of the African countries.
