MANAMA – Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on Sunday received the newly appointed Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) General Michael Erik Kurilla at Riffa Palace.
Prince Salman highlighted the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States and the importance of boosting cooperation and joint coordination across all levels, according to the Bahraini news agency.
He noted the importance of further developing Bahrain-US military and defense ties to benefit regional security, stability, and peace.
He congratulated General Kurilla on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his duties.
The latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed during the meeting. (MENA)
