CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Agriculture el-Sayyed el-Qusair discussed with Qalubiya Governor Abdel Hamid el-Haggan providing lands for the projects of the presidential initiative of “Decent Life”.
The meeting tackled the implementation of the projects of the initiative that was launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop the Egyptian countryside, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The first stage of the initiative in Qalubiya includes establishing nine complexes for agricultural services including two centers for collecting milk, nine agricultural co-operatives, nine veterinary units and nine centers of agricultural guidance, the statement said.
The meeting tackled establishing joint projects between the ministry and Qalubiya governorate that aim at optimising the assets affiliated to the ministry in the governorate and contribute to providing job opportunities for the youth.
The meeting also took up preparations of Qalubiya governorate for the harvest season as well as facilitating supply measures for farmers.
A total of 50,000 feddans is cultivated by wheat in Qalubiya this year.
