Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli started the Cabinet’s weekly meeting on Tuesday by offering greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan (October 6 War) victory.
In 1973, Egypt’s military servicemen sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland, the prime minister said.
Meanwhile, Madbouli said that nobody will be allowed to preform Hajj this year at the expense of the state or any of its affiliated bodies as per directives of the higher ministerial committee for Hajj.
Only pilgrims, who did not perform this religious ritual before, will be allowed to go for Hajj this year, the premier further said, adding that strict health measures will be put in place to ensure the safety of pilgrims.
Madbouli also reviewed the State Ownership Policy document, which he said will help attract foreign investors and boost international institutions’ confidence in Egypt.
He issued directives to swiftly discuss observations raised by experts regarding the document to prepare a final version as soon as possible.
