Shoukri to head to Washington for strengthening bilateral consultation

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri will head to Washington on Monday evening on an official visit that targets strengthening contact and consultation between the two friendly countries, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.

The visit aims to bolster all aspects of distinguished strategic ties between Egypt and the US, as well as to exchange visions on key regional and international issues of common interest, added the spokesman.

Shoukri is set to meet with his US counterpart Antony Blinken, a number of US administration officials, members of the US Chamber of Commerce, and think tanks there.
