CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the State attaches importance to the file of culture and arts, as well as all that could help build the character of the Egyptian citizens and raise their level of awareness and knowledge.

The premier made the remarks on Friday as he reviewed a report on efforts exerted by the Culture Ministry as part of “Decent Life” presidential initiative, which included holding artistic and cultural activities in a number of villages covered by the initiative in February and March, 2022.

Meanwhile, Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem said these artistic activities and events held in the villages covered by the presidential initiative are aimed at upgrading indicators of the Egyptian citizens’ quality of life and expanding fields of talent identification and sponsorship in these villages.

The minister noted that 347 cultural activities have been held in Sharqia and Beheira governorates from February 26 to March 10, from which more than 35,000 citizens have benefited.

In addition, 13 theatre shows were held in 14 villages of Fayyoum, Beni Suef and Qena governorates from February 21 to March 4, from which more than 5,000 citizens benefited, she said.
