United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres praised Egypt’s historic legacy after visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), in a post on his X account accompanied by a short video of the visit.
“The Grand Egyptian Museum is an impressive testament to the country’s enduring legacy,” Guterres wrote. He said it was a pleasure to visit and reflect on Egypt’s contributions to human history and the lasting influence of its civilisation beyond the Nile.
