Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding private-sector participation in economic activities and public services as Egypt pursues new public-private partnership (PPP) projects in water treatment, desalination, electricity infrastructure and supply chain management.
Madbouly made the remarks on Sunday while chairing a meeting of the Higher Committee for Public-Private Partnership Affairs.
He said expanding the private sector’s role would remain a key priority on the government’s agenda in the coming period.
The prime minister stressed that the committee played a vital role in achieving this objective by strengthening governance and enhancing co-ordination among ministries and relevant authorities.
