The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has met with a group of specialists from North Sinai Governorate, graduates of the Fiber Optics Training Programme, at the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) premises, in Smart Village, in the presence of NTI Director Iman Ashour.
This comes as the State gives priority to North Sinai and works to build the capacity of its citizens, and in response to the demands of a group of officials and leaders to train the Governorate’s youth within the initiatives and training programmes provided by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), during their meeting with the ICT Minister at MCIT headquarters, last month.
Talaat highlighted that MCIT has an all-encompassing strategy for building digital capacity, with the aim to empower, boost the efficiency of and qualify young people for the labour market, as well as to introduce technological literacy nationwide. This is in addition to providing specialists in places close to the projects that will be carried out in those governorates, thus contributing to creating decent job opportuities.
