The Armed Forces organised a cultural seminar themed “Building the Nation” under the auspices of Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark.
This comes within the framework of the keenness of the Armed Forces to develop the spirit of belonging in different segments of the Egyptian society.
The Armed Forces also organised another cultural seminar under rubric “Faith and Nations” under the auspices of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr Ahmed el-Tayyeb.
Commander of the popular and military defence forces delivered speeches in both seminars, asserting the importance of all segments of the Egyptians pushing forward the development wheel.
During the event, organised in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Armed Forces’ Martyrs and Veterans Day, Mohamed Abdul Rahman Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, expressed appreciation to the Armed Forces for their sacrifices for the sake of the homeland.
The commander of the Popular Defence and Military Forces delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki to the officials of the Orthodox Church and Al-Azhar, stressing the importance of the cohesion of all Egyptians to continue advancing the development process nationwide.
