The Cabinet’s Media Centre has published infographics highlighting key details of the Forbes International Tower, planned for the Central Business District of Egypt’s New Capital, with targeted investments of about $1 billion.
The project is presented as a major private-sector investment combining urban innovation with environmental sustainability and green technologies. It is intended to support the New Capital’s role as a regional business and investment hub and attract international companies and investors.
The tower will cover 20,300 square metres and comprise 50 floors, reaching 240 metres in height, with a total built-up area of 100,000 square metres. It will also include six underground parking levels with capacity exceeding requirements by 230 per cent, as well as 36 elevators, including a car elevator.
The design is being led by internationally renowned architect Adrian Smith in cooperation with major global consulting firms.
According to the infographics, the tower will include Grade-A offices, retail spaces, a helipad for direct VIP access, luxury parking designed in cooperation with BMW, an art gallery featuring more than 50 works, and water-based experiences.
The project is designed as a sustainable development model aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Solar power and a clean hydrogen system are expected to meet 100% of the tower’s electricity needs.
The project aims to avoid 1.8 million kg of CO2 emissions annually and reduce energy consumption by 46 per cent through smart façades and adaptive lighting. It also targets a 58 per cent reduction in embodied carbon from construction materials and processes over its lifecycle.
Water consumption is expected to fall by 74 per cent, saving about 9.4 million litres annually. Green technologies include liquid organic hydrogen carriers, daylight utilisation systems, low-heat-transfer glazing and underfloor air distribution for heating, ventilation and cooling.
The project has received several awards and sustainability certifications, including a 2026 Platinum certificate from the National Housing and Building Research Center under Egypt’s Green Pyramid Rating System.
According to Forbes, the project is expected to help attract $10.8 billion in foreign investment over four years and create about 60,000 jobs in areas including technology, energy and sustainability. It is also expected to support financial technology, green development and the real estate sector in the New Capital.
