Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, inspected on Tuesday the admission and selection process for applicants to the Egyptian Military Academy and military colleges, as part of the Armed Forces’ ongoing follow‑up of admission procedures.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed medical examinations, physical fitness tests, swimming and confidence jump assessments, as well as psychological evaluations. He was briefed on the advanced electronic assessment system used to evaluate applicants according to precise standards without human intervention.
Zaher praised the continuous development of evaluation systems at the Egyptian Military Academy, stressing that the objective is to select the most qualified candidates to join the Armed Forces. He emphasised that the only criterion for admission is each applicant’s capabilities, performance and ability to excel in all required tests, rejecting any claims related to favouritism or personal connections.
At the end of the tour, the Minister spoke with a number of applicants about the various stages of testing they had undergone and encouraged them to exert maximum effort to achieve the highest results and qualify to serve in the Armed Forces.
