Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, held a telephone call on Thursday evening with Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to discuss strengthening bilateral co-operation.
Minister Abdelatty expressed appreciation for the close partnership between Egypt and the IAEA, highlighting their shared commitment to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. He also commended the agency for its technical support provided through its technical cooperation programme.
The two officials reviewed regional developments, focusing on the Iranian nuclear issue. They emphasised the need to sustain diplomatic momentum and de-escalation efforts, prioritising political solutions to prevent further conflict and safeguard regional stability.
