Egyptian table tennis star Hana Goda secured the gold medal in the women’s singles event at the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games following an impressive performance in Italy.
The Egyptian champion defeated Monaco’s Xiaoxin Yang 4-1 in a compelling final match, bringing home another prestgious title and adding to Egypt’s growing medal tally at the tournament.
After dropping a closely contested first set 12-10, Goda displayed remarkable resilience and tactical skill to turn the match around.
She dominated the remainder of the contest, sweeping the next four consecutive sets 11-4, 12-10, 11-6, and 11-6.
Her victory highlights her continued dominance on the international stage and marks another milestone achievement for Egyptian athletics.
