President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi and First Lady Entissar El‑Sisi received Chinese President Xi Jinping and his spouse on Tuesday at Cairo International Airport, marking the start of Xi’s official visit to Egypt.
According to the Presidential Spokesman, the reception was marked by warmth and ceremony, with children and youth waving Egyptian and Chinese flags to greet the distinguished guest. Crowds of Egyptian and Chinese citizens also gathered to express their goodwill, in a scene reflecting the depth of historic ties between the two peoples.
