ABIDJAN — Egypt’s U18 women’s basketball team beat Côte d’Ivoire 60-52 in the third-place playoff at the 2026 FIBA U18 Women’s AfroBasket.
Egypt made a strong start, leading 18-16 at the end of the first quarter before extending its advantage to 34-24 by halftime.
The Egyptian team maintained its lead in the third quarter, which ended 42-39, before securing the victory in the final quarter with an eight-point margin.
The win earned Egypt third place in the 2026 U18 Women’s AfroBasket following a strong campaign in the continental competition.
