More than 15,000 students have registered in the “Bokra El Madrasa” platform since its launch on Monday, with registration and the submission of students’ preferences continuing for the “Bokra El Madrasa… Al Khair Fi Masr” initiative, the Ministry of Social Solidarity announced on Thursday.

Launched by the ministry in co-operation with Misr El Kheir Foundation and the Fund for Supporting Projects of NGOs and Civil Society Organisations, the initiative, “School Tomorrow”, is part of preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year and aims to provide school supplies to eligible students across various governorates.

The initiative seeks to support students from disadvantaged and near-poverty families by providing a complete school bag containing essential supplies for primary and preparatory education, helping ease families’ financial burdens and enabling students to begin the new academic year with the necessary requirements.

Eligibility covers primary and preparatory students from disadvantaged families or those near the poverty line, children of beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama conditional cash transfer programme, orphans in care homes, foster families or under legal guardianship, and students with disabilities enrolled in schools.

Applicants must be enrolled in primary or preparatory school during the 2026-2027 academic year, while applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, with a maximum of two students per applicant.

Neither the student nor their parent or guardian may have received similar school-supply assistance during the same academic year.

Both must be Egyptian citizens, and applications are subject to eligibility verification and an approved case study.

The ministry stressed in a statement that registration does not guarantee acceptance, which depends on fulfilling the eligibility criteria and completing the review process.

Applications are submitted exclusively through the “Bokra El Madrasa” platform, with applicants’ data linked to national ID numbers and verified against relevant databases.
