Egypt’s Labour Minister Hassan Radad visited on Wednesday workers injured in the tragic collision between two trucks on Dawawis Road in Qassasin district.

Accompanied by Ismailia Governor Major General Nabil El-Sayed Hasaballah, Radad visited Ismailia Medical Complex, Abu Khalifa Emergency Hospital and Qassasin Central Hospital to check on the injured, follow up on their health conditions and review the medical care and treatment being provided.

The minister met with the governor before visiting the hospitals to discuss the accident’s repercussions, the condition of the injured and the families of those killed, and coordinate measures to provide care and support.

Radad said the visit implements President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to strengthen protection and care for workers and stand by them and their families during crises.

He stressed that protecting workers and supporting their families is a fundamental commitment and a top priority for the Ministry of Labour.

“In accordance with the directives of the political leadership, we will spare no effort in providing all aspects of genuine and on-the-ground care for our workers and their families,” Radad said, pledging to address the accident’s repercussions immediately, support the injured and the families of the deceased, and ensure they receive their full rights.

He directed the Ismailia Labour Directorate to establish immediate contact with the families of the deceased and injured, compile a comprehensive list of cases in coordination with the relevant authorities and begin processing all due compensation payments.

He also offered condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery, stressing that the ministry would continue monitoring their conditions and providing necessary support.

For his part, Hasaballah said the governorate’s health system and executive bodies had mobilised all available resources from the first moments of the accident, declaring a state of emergency across hospitals to ensure the necessary medical and therapeutic care for the injured.
