Egyptian Youth and Sports Minister Gohar Nabil has congratulated athlete Aseel Osama on winning the women’s javelin gold medal at the World Athletics U20 Championships in the United States.
In a video call with Hatem Fouda, President of the Egyptian Athletics Federation, and Osama, the minister praised the athlete’s performance. Osama secured the title with a throw of 59.82 metres, marking Egypt’s first gold medal in a women’s event at the World Athletics U20 Championships and a historic achievement for the nation.
Nabil also extended his congratulations to Fouda, the federation’s board, and its technical, medical and administrative teams. He noted that the success reflects the ongoing efforts to prepare Egyptian athletes for the highest levels of international competition.
The minister stated that Osama’s victory adds to Egypt’s growing list of sporting achievements and underscores the country’s capacity to develop athletes capable of winning titles at both continental and global levels.
