The agreement was reached through a memorandum of understanding signed by Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority and its Chadian counterpart during the Egypt-Chad Business Forum in N’Djamena, held as part of the 4th session of the countries’ joint committee.

The MoU also provides for continued technical co-ordination, the exchange of expertise and operational support in civil aviation to improve efficiency and facilitate airline operations.

The Egyptian delegation, led by Civil Aviation Authority chief Sameh Mohamed Fawzi and adviser Karim Gamal, met with Chad’s Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Fatima Goukouni Wodiei to discuss streamlining operational procedures, addressing challenges facing airlines and exploring opportunities to expand passenger and cargo traffic.

The co-operation is expected to strengthen air connectivity, support trade growth and enhance technical collaboration between the two countries’ aviation sectors.
