The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation is making big improvements to how it manages air travel.

The National Air Navigation Services Company, led by Captain Ehab Mohi El-Din, is modernising its operations to use the latest global technology. As part of this effort, the company has replaced its old equipment with a brand-new air traffic control system called “Galaxy.”

The Galaxy system uses 24 modern 3D radars to watch over the country’s airspace. It uses smart software to give air traffic controllers a clear and precise view of all flights, making air travel safer and more secure.

The system also includes advanced tools to keep flights moving smoothly without delays, as well as high-tech radio systems for clear communication between controllers and pilots.

The Egyptian Air Traffic Controllers Club celebrated the success of the new system’s initial test runs. They thanked aviation leaders, including Captain Ehab Mohie and Captain Osama Atta, for their hard work and support.

The club also praised the air traffic controllers, engineers, and support staff for their high level of professionalism, noting that the new system was put into action with zero flight delays, including at Cairo International Airport.

Overall, this update is a major step forward for air safety in Egypt.
