President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday congratulated Egypt’s under-18 women’s handball team after it reached the semifinals of the IHF Women’s Youth World Championship for the first time.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the president praised the team’s historic achievement.
“My salute to Egypt’s young women’s handball team for reaching the semifinals of the Women’s Youth World Championship for the first time, marking a new sporting achievement,” El Sisi said.
He wished the players success in the remainder of the tournament, expressing hope that they would secure another achievement to bring joy to the Egyptian people.
