Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy, attended the signing of microfinance contracts between the Fund and four NGOs as part of the second group of partner associations under the smart microfinance project funded by Banque Misr. The initiative falls within the strategic financial empowerment programme.
Contracts were signed by Fund Executive Director Engy El‑Yemany and representatives of the Coptic Evangelical Organisation for Social Services, Ana El‑Masry Association for Development and Training in Qena, Muslim Girls Association in Beni Suef, and Ali Ibn Abi Taleb Association in Kafr El‑Dawar, Beheira.
The Fund aims to ease burdens on citizens through microfinance activities that improve living and environmental standards, supporting the state’s development plan to raise economic and social levels of targeted families and build a productive society.
Morsy stressed that the Fund acts as a financing arm for small and micro projects, noting its labour‑intensive initiatives have created sustainable jobs for families under the Takaful and Karama programmes. She highlighted projects that recycle agricultural waste such as palm residues and halfa grass into productive resources, generating income while preserving traditional crafts and reducing pollution.
The minister underlined the ministry’s support for NGOs in financing small projects to drive production. The Fund also organises specialised training with Banque Misr and eFinance to build partner capacity and ensure efficient implementation of financing programmes under the strategic financial empowerment system.
