Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a meeting with representatives of Inventure, Pizzarotti and China’s CSCEC to follow up on the implementation of the medical city projects in the New Capital and Alamein. The session was attended by senior officials from the ministry and the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed that the two projects represent a qualitative leap in Egypt’s healthcare system, providing integrated preventive and therapeutic services to international standards, while also supporting medical education through new institutes and training centres.
Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar noted that the meeting reviewed engineering designs and master plans, which include medical, administrative, educational and training zones, as well as specialised hospitals equipped with advanced systems. The projects aim to position Egypt as a regional hub for specialised healthcare, research and medical education.
The minister urged swift commencement of construction according to set timelines, with regular monitoring of progress. He emphasised that the medical cities will attract patients domestically and internationally, enhance service quality and improve operational efficiency.
